hi! i deleted these 3 files but still every time i start firefox, since i updated to 13 – it opens 2 tabs, one my yahoo home page and won the “youve successfully updated firefox” page. Can you help me please. Thanks.

Maybe You’re Installation Is Corrupted. To Resolve This, First Of All Download MozBackup And Backup Your Firefox Profile And Unistall Firefox Completely.
Then Again Install it And Restore Your Profile With MozBackup.

This fix took care of the problem and I appreciate the info. but why doesn’t FireFox correct this known problem? I have friends that have stopped using FireFox because of this problem & have gone back to using IE.

I checked for those files I see a Prefs and Sessionstore which are JScript script files but no User.js file

Hey, whenever i installed FireFox or Crome, after 3 to 4 days my browser go hanged.. it takes to load for every new pages..

I deleted the three fines and the problem is gone. I can now start a new session of FF and it will open to a blank page as I have set in my preferences. Thanks for the help. Question, there is also a prefs-1 file. Should that also be deleted? And will deleting these files have any effect on the performance of FF
